Frijolero.net was present at Crower Cams first annual customer appreciation open house car show on June 20th. Cars began arriving the night before but the majority started to trickle in early on Saturday morning. It was apparent by the cars and car enthusiast showing up that the show would be a hit
It was hard not to notice Crower’s long standing success in the industry. Cars from an array of race series where represented like the NHRA, SLR, and SCORE to name a few. Crower took the opportunity to showcase the Crower sponsored top fuel car owned and driven by Danny Aguayo. Other Crower sponsored cars that made their presence known where the crew from Team Brat and their nitro powered funny car. And how could one miss the tricked out 69 Camero named “El Zorro” which races in the famed Baja 1000, the longest and toughest off-road race in the world.
The highlight of the day and which seemed to be a fan favorite was hearing the roar of the racing alcohol powered race engines. The race teams took turns in a sort of sound off competition firing their engines off filling the air with the smell of race alcohol. The decibels were off the chart yet there was still some hardcore enthusiast getting an eardrum full of horsepower.
Visitors were treated to an up close and personal experience of some high powered race machines. Accompanying the day’s activities was a DJ\MC raffling off Crower memorabilia. Food and drink was also available for purchase.
At the end of the day it was a great time and great success. So much so that Bruce Crower announced that there would be a second annual event next year.
